The Advisor — Proactive Alerts
Most AI tools wait for you to ask a question. The Advisor proactively reads your recent conversations, compares them to network data, and surfaces what you may be missing — before it costs you money.
What The Advisor does
Each week, The Advisor analyzes your last 30 days of BizPilot conversations and compares them against two data sources:
- Your own logged outcomes — what you've submitted, what was approved, what wasn't
- Network benchmarks — what similar contractors in your state are recovering
From this, it generates 1-3 targeted alerts specific to your situation.
Alert types
Missed line item
You've discussed 4 hip roof jobs this month but haven't mentioned O&P in any conversation. Network data shows O&P adds an average of $1,800 per claim on hip roofs with your carrier mix.
Carrier pattern
Allstate approvals in your state dropped 15% this month for step flashing. Network data suggests starting with IRC R905.2.8.3 in the initial supplement — not the follow-up.
Follow-up gap
You have 3 conversations from 45+ days ago with no logged outcome. These may have unresolved supplements. Following up typically recovers an additional $2,400 on average.
Scope gap
You mentioned code upgrades in 2 conversations but didn't include ridge vent replacement. On your roof type and age, this is approved 81% of the time in your state.
Acting on an alert
- 1Open the alert (shown in the top bar with a notification badge).
- 2Read the alert and the estimated dollar impact.
- 3Click "Ask BizPilot about this" to open a pre-loaded conversation addressing the specific gap.
- 4BizPilot will give you specific next steps — a supplement letter, a follow-up script, or a checklist.
- 5After you act, log the outcome so the network learns from it.
If alerts don't seem relevant
Alert quality improves with usage data. Two factors make alerts more relevant:
- More conversations. The Advisor reads your last 30 days. If you've had fewer than 5 conversations, there's not enough signal.
- More logged outcomes. Personal outcomes give The Advisor your specific performance data to compare against the network.
After 4-6 weeks of active use, alerts become significantly more targeted. Think of it as the system learning your business.
Multi-vertical alerts
If you're active in multiple trades, The Advisor runs once per active vertical — so a restoration contractor also doing roofing scope gets two separate alert sets, each tuned to that trade's patterns. “Active” means three or more conversations in that vertical over the last 30 days.
